small brain: animation isn’t for kids it’s better than that animation can be for adults only too

big brain: animation being made especially with children in mind isn’t one of its weak points and a lot of adults are just too cynical and insecure to allow themselves to enjoy something that speaks to children because of the unique aspects that brings with it, not in spite of it. being made for children doesn’t make it bad, people’s shitty attitude towards children leads them to make shitty low-effort work for children and this is what we should be trying to change
